Project Description

Dissipation and isolation devices can be used to avoid or minimize structural damage in the infrastructure against earthquake forces. It is a collection of structural elements which should substantially decouple a superstructure from its substructure resting on a shaking ground, thus protecting a building or non-building structure’s integrity.

Scope of Work

  • Simulation of the analytical prototype through SAP2000
  • Data extraction of simulation and comparison with the theoretical model
  • Virtual construction of analytical isolator and dissipator prototypes
